Engagement Card

A non traditional engagement card with a vintage/grungy flavour to it, yet elegant non the less...

I used a rich brown card stock for the base of this card.  Before layering the script patterned paper I lightly dusted the front of the card with a bronze shimmer powder, which gave it a hint of shimmer once the patterned paper was adhered to the front.  I distressed the patterned paper with antique linen and walnut stain distress ink.
The ribbon i used at the bottom of the card was actually a silver piece that i had in my stash, which i altered using walnut stain distress ink so that it would coordinate. Pearl bling was placed on the top and the bottom of the card slightly in from the edge, and a clear crystal bling was placed on each end to finish it off.
I used the couples initials for a kind of focal point on the card by framing some elegant rub on alphas on white card stock and backing that with the same brown card as the base of the card, punching one edge with a decorative lattice border.

In the middle of the initials i stamped and embossed a "be mine" sentiment and a double love heart image which gave it a glossy raised finish, i placed a crystal bling to the bottom of each heart which finished it off beautifully.

I finished off the corners of the card by using some black metal decorative corners, to give it an extra elegant feel.

On the inside of the card i used the double love heart image a few more times and also stamped a congratulations sentiment.  I placed a rub on quote on some white card and distressed it using the distress inks mentioned earlier and lastly placed a single bling in the middle of the flower.

Friends Brithday Card....

I love love love this card....its just so simple and intricate at the same time, it has texture and dimension as well... its not 100% perfect but i just love it... =)

This was a frame which i painted as it did not go with the soft pastel theme of the card, after painting it i ran it through my cuttle bug and embossed some swirls onto it......i then attached some metal corners adhered it with some dimensional adhesive and added a little square embellishment which i made by firstly stamping the pic and then embossing it....
Inside another pop up card with the recipients name, i simply punched out two different sized circles and centered them adding a glitter alpha sticker in the middle...Happy birthday sentiment in the back using the same glitter stickers and LOTS of bling....... =)

Sheer ribbon was also added for and elegant feel....

Back of card....

Love it..... =)

Female Birthday Card

I quite like this card as it has lots of dimension, i began with a basic white card stock for the base, knowing the young lady liked the colour purple i layered a textured piece of purple card stock, she also loves butterflies so i just cut a strip of patterned paper and placed it on top of a mesh like material which was also purple and adhered both onto the left side of the card.
The flowers was easily made by punching out several layers of tissues paper with a scalloped circle punch and layering a plain circle punch on the top, but before doing so i stamped my sentiment.  The stem i made with some paper ribbon scraps i had, twisting the shorter one to look like leaves. I adhered it all with foam dimensionals to give it great texture =)

I glossy accented the butterflies on the patterned paper and added a die cut butterfly....

Dimensional goodness.... =)

Birthday card for my mum!!!

This card i started off with a green card base as it was white on the inside it was perfect....it also had some polka dot embossing, i rounded only the two bottom corners and layered a white glittery card onto the green base leaving extra room along the bottom to add the heart ribbon which i wrapped with pink cotton in between each heart.
Before attaching the glittery card i had punched a scalloped border and attached it to the right side of the card, feeling it needed more i placed a gem in each scallop.  I also added a doyley which i distressed with 2 shades of pink and off centered it, adding a circle punch in the middle of the doyley which i had added a rub on, around the doyley i space several small green pearls.

I also added a little ticket like mat and stamped my sentiment on it edged it with some pink ink to tie it all in, added three green pearls on the top and bottom of the sentiment and then tied some more of the cotton that i used on the heart ribbon, finishing it off with a bow and adhering it down with some foam dimensional

Lastly i added three green buttons to the top right of the card adding more of the pink cotton to the buttons. =)

30th Birthday card for my brother =)

This was a fun card to make and not only because it was for my brothers 30th birthday but also because i was able to get creative and experiment a little with texture! So as i mentioned this card was for my brothers 30th and so i had to make something special!!! So i made it big and a pop up card :) and tried to add as much texture and dimensions as i could while still keeping it masculine looking...For the outer base I've used a brown textured card stock which i didn't do much too except add some metal corner embellishment to the 2 bottom corners of the card.  I've then layered some music patterned paper onto a mat which i created by stippling silver, bronze and a little gold acrylic paint onto some card  to give it a sparkly textured look.
I also glossy accented some of the notes to highlight them and to also give more texture...
i also made a book plate look a like by matting a metal embellishment onto the same brown card stock as the base of the card and added a brad on each side...

The inside of the card was white card stock and i created a simple pop out section which i place to the left side of the card, I've then decorated some number die cuts with the same acrylic pants as i mentioned earlier matted them both on some more brown card stock and cut around them leaving a small border on the outside, i also added a brad on the top and bottom of each of the numbers to give it a bit of a tin/metal look. With the left over painted paper i punched out some stars and swirls i attached them to some jewelry wire and hot glued this to the back of the numbers kind of creating a fire work display when the card was opened :)
The back of the card i placed a strip of the musical patterned paper and did a little stamping and embossing....here you can see the dimension of the pop out part of the card...

Birthday Card for my Dad...

The base of this card was initially going to be a Christmas card that's why you can see a bit of the red distressing in the lowers right corner...i decided to use it for a birthday card instead and added some blue {dads fav colour} patterned paper to the front and ripped it at a diagonal after adhering it to the base i distressed the rest of the white area with T!m Holtz antique linen distress ink to highlight the tear...i then also added a die cut frame which i had embossed with some clear and gold embossing powder as the frame was quite flimsy and embossing it gave it a little more strength, i also did the same to the celebrate label and placed it on some dimensionals to pop it out of the frame a Little ...i then wrapped some paper ribbon i had in blue around the top of the card several times and tied it in a bow... lastly i used some bling letter to spell out the word "papa" which means dad in Italian in the bottom right corner

Inside of card- some die cuts in the right bottom corner and stamped happy birthday

Birthday Card for a male

I used plain with card stock as a base for the card, i layered it with a dark brown textured car and rounded the top and bottom corners on both the white base and the brown layer. Ive then cut a strip of olive green textured card with embossed dots and glued that to the left side of the card. Using a strip of patterned paper I've cut it on the diagonal so as to go along with the writing and glued that to the front centering it but placing it towards the top then lightly distressed around the card with black ink.  Lastly I've tied a black stitched ribbon around the bottom of the card and attached 3 brads to the right side of the ribbon so as to tie in the olive green paper.
